How do I Book & What are the Payment Terms?

Book with 50% deposit, pay rest to captain

When the captain confirms your 4-hour Tenerife fishing charter trip with The Rodfather, a 50% deposit will be required to secure your reservation. Alternatively, you may choose to pay the full amount in advance. Each charter trip can accommodate a maximum of 8 people.

Our 4-hour fishing charters provided by The Rodfather include all necessary gear, bait, and tackle. Clients also have the option to bring their own tackle if preferred. During the excursion, complimentary drinks are included, and arrangements can be made for ice and a cooler box if needed.

Kindly note that on the checkout page for the 4-hour fishing charter, the total trip cost will be displayed. You can opt to pay the 50% deposit upfront or settle the entire amount. The outstanding balance must be clear before the scheduled departure time, which can be done via credit card. For last-minute bookings within 3 days of the trip, only cash payments will be accepted.

The Rodfather is a 34’ Guy Couach boat, restored in 2014 and is powered by twin 300 HP Volvo Penta engines.

With a wide and spacious deck, this boat is perfect for up to eight anglers to fish in comfort.

It features a flybridge, fighting chair, outriggers, downriggers, livewell, and ice box. For your comfort, you will also find a toilet, and a kitchen with refrigerator.

They will guide you through the best methods to reel in your catch and use only the highest-quality equipment.

How good is the fishing in South Tenerife ?

Tenerife and the Canary Islands as a whole are amongst the finest fishing spots on the globe. Their location off the coast of Africa means some of the biggest game fish such as marlin and tuna are there for the taking.

The coral reefs around the various islands are also fantastic for smaller fish. The Canary Islands are also amongst the best places in the world to see whales and dolphins and even though you won’t be able to catch them, there’s a good chance of seeing sperm whales, bottlenose dolphins and pilot whales on your private fishing charter Tenerife.

It is a very short run out to the fishing grounds unlike Florida fishing charters.

Your deposit is completely refundable until 7 days prior to the Charter Date. After 7 days prior, it is NON-REFUNDABLE, subject to circumstances.

Do I have to tip the captain & crew?

The first mate will gladly clean your catch and help you with everything you need, so 10% gratuity for his efforts is customary.
